Never too Early to Blog

It is six o’clock on a Monday morning, and daddy says that it is never too early in the day or in the week to make a blog post!

This week something is supposed to happen.  It is a thing called Thanksgiving.  Daddy says that since I am half American, I have to celebrate it.  But mum and my brothers do too because they like to eat.  That’s about all I know about this holiday.  You all sit down and eat.  I don’t really get it because mum and dad and brothers and I sit down to eat every day!  So why have a whole day dedicated to it?  None of them need any extra food.

I have been adapting to mum not being at work lately.  Daddy stays at home and looks after Big-Big Brother and me, and Big Brother goes to school, whatever that is.  I think it is a club or something where they do the same sorts of things Big-Big Brother does at home.

I used to get really mad when mum first started back at work.  She would go away for so long and not be around for me to play with, so when she came home, I liked to ignore her for hours at a time.  Oh sure, she could cuddle and feed me, but I would not look at her because that would mean that in the morning when she left again, I would remember what she looked like and I would miss her.  After a week or two of this I realized that it was okay to be with daddy only during the days, and that if I didn’t look at mum, then I would be missing seeing her for even longer than the daytimes.  So I looked at her.  I love my mum!

Daddy can’t get his digital camera fixed, so there are still no fresh pictures for my blog.  Sorry!  Daddy says that he will gladly arrange to take contributions through Pay-Pal to the "Help Kelsey Fix His Digital Camera Fund."

Daddy says that we have a busy day ahead because we have got to go into town this morning, so I gotta go help him get ready.

Reminder to all who have i-Tunes, If you go into the i-Tunes Store and search for a podcast using "Kelsey Bacon" as your search term, it will bring up the "Bacon Bits" podcast.  Episode 7 has a bit of me talking in it, especially at the end where daddy put in the sounds I like to make when I am eating my lunch!  The Bacon Bits podcast is another way to keep up with our gang!

Bye for now!

Annual-versary

Today is my mum and dad’s annual-versary. I am not sure what that means, but I think it has something to do with being tied up together for a very long time.  Well, I think my mum and dad must have been tied up together a very long time, ’cause they are good at it.

I have been off the blogging scene for a while now, and I have a lot to catch you up on.  Mum and dad’s camera is still in the shop for repairs, so I cannot include photos at the moment, but daddy says he is working really hard on it.

I am doing lots of new things now.  I have a chair of my own in the kitchen called a high-chair.  It allows me to join the rest of the family when they eat.  I have to sit on a small pillow and be strapped into it, which I don’t like, but once I am in there and busy eating, or watching everyone else, I soon forget all about the straps.  It is fun watching everyone!  I want to be just like my big brothers when I get older.  They eat however they would like, and don’t follow rules like mum and dad do.  Only thing is, I think I would like it better if mum and dad didn’t yell at them all the time for having fun while they eat!

I eat now too.  I have some special foods that are all my own!  I tried my first baby food just the other day, called chicken.  It was really good, and I just couldn’t get enough of it!  I have been eating porridge since almost the last time I blogged here, and I have really enjoyed it a lot more than my bottle, but chicken was amazing!  Of course, eating these kinds of food as I am, mum and dad say I have graduated early.  Heck, I didn’t even know I was in school!  I did because of my tummy playing me up on just liquids, and because I was just not filling up on them.  But now I am fine, I sleep better through the nights, and my tummy troubles are being managed by the foods I do eat.  Mum and dad seem to have it all sussed out!

I am nearly able to sit up on my own now, if I have help getting there that is.  Also, I am thinking about rolling over soon.  It looks like fun!

There is lots more to tell you still, but I need to go for now.  I hope that everyone is doing well!  Daddy says he is so excited to get his digital camera back from the shop, and he wants to take a picture of me with it first thing.  I will put it up here as soon as he does!

Loves and Hugs to all!

Kirynie and Daddy!
